Melanie Hindman has a well-established and busy building and construction, and commercial, litigation practice. Prior to her call to the bar in 2003, she worked as a commercial litigation solicitor with a national firm. She regularly acts for major construction, development and mining related companies, as well as the State of Queensland. She is a regular speaker focussing particularly on issues impacting commercial entities undertaking construction and property related business. In addition to her law degree, Melanie has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (physics) and a Masters of Law. She has been consistently recommended for a number of years in Doyle's Leading Queensland Construction and Infrastructure Barristers list, including in 2017 as one of two preeminent junior counsel, and is the only Brisbane-based preeminent junior counsel in Doyle’s Leading Construction and Infrastructure Barristers list for Australia 2017.
