Jane Menzies
Prior to joining the Bar, Jane practised as a commercial litigator at King & Wood Mallesons from 2012 to 2019 (Senior Associate from 2016). Jane was called to the Bar in October 2019.
Jane's expertise is in general commercial practice with a focus on infrastructure, resources, construction, contract, tort and trade practices. Jane is a qualified Civil Engineer. Her prior experience working in the construction industry gives her insight into the technical aspects of disputes and an appreciation of strategic drivers for clients.
Jane is a university medallist with first class honours in law and engineering. Jane was formerly associate at the High Court of Australia to the Hon Justice (now Chief Justice) Susan Kiefel AC. She also worked as associate in the Federal Magistrates Court of Australia (now the Federal Circuit Court) to Judge Purdon-Sully.
